Isaiah 53

I stand in speechless awe before the unbelievable demonstration of God’s love that the divine Son of God “loved me and gave Himself for me.”

I realized that I was not included in the People of God, but the Gentiles. It is no wonder that we Gentiles can relate to that great hymn “There is a Fountain filled with Blood, drawn from Emmanuel’s veins, and sinners plunged beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stains.”

While I stand in awe, I am aware that Jesus bore the guilt of my sins and I also recognize that He bore the penalty and punishment that was due me because of those sins.  I confess that he was my substitute, for the lord laid upon Him mine iniquity.  We, who fully deserve the punishment for our sins, have been set free by God’s grace, and not only His grace but God has poured out His wrath against sin upon His own Son.

Thank you Lord, Thank you Jesus for saving my soul. Amen

Merciful God, we are thankful that nothing can separate us from your love.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
