Facility Cleaning and Maintenance

CHARACTERISTIC OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform general campus cleaning and maintenance, including but not limited to:
    • Clean entire campus (all buildings). See addendum for cleaning specifics.
    • Cleans, sweeps, dusts, mops, washes, vacuums, polishes, and waxes floors. Cleans windows, woodwork, furniture, and equipment.
    • Maintain restrooms by cleaning and disinfecting sinks, mirrors, urinals, toilets, showers, and walls. Keeps restrooms supplied with paper towels, tissue, soap and other items.
    • Collects and disposes of garbage from buildings and grounds.
    • Performs miscellaneous duties including cleaning blinds, windows, walls, drinking fountains, and garbage can; changing filters; replacing light bulbs, maintaining equipment, and restocking supplies.
    • Perform minor repair work on furniture and equipment; such as replacing broken or missing hardware on furniture.
    • Perform outside work such as cleaning grounds, walks and parking lots of debris and removing snow and ice when necessary.
    • Provide building security by locking and unlocking church doors, checking windows, and turning out lights.
    • Arrange chairs and tables for regularly weekly and monthly scheduled Church meetings. Including arranging fellowship hall partitions, chairs and tables for Sunday school classes and other events held on Sunday morning. Weekly and monthly scheduled Church meetings attached.
  • Ability to read and understand custodial and maintenance equipment manuals.
  • Ability to perform physical labor such as moving furniture and equipment, lifting, climb ladders, etc.
  • Ability to work in dusty, dirty, wet and cold conditions.
  • Ability to walk, kneel, climb, stand, stoop, crouch and reach when performing floor maintenance activities.
  • Report any/all issues to the church office (or Plant Facilities Manager if off-hours).
