Psalm 91:9-16

For as long as I can recall, I have heard the phrase “He may not come when you want him but he’s always right on time”. Songwriters have penned these very words in countless songs professing that God is an on time God.

The Psalmist in these verses assures us that those who dwell in the house of the Lord shall be secure. The security that is provided by God is a reward to the faith exhibited by those who make God their refuge. It matters not to God where your dwelling may be, even a tent in this case, but what does matter is if the dwelling place of your soul is within The Most High.

When your habitat is the Most High, you dwell in good and the angels of the Lord, by the authority of God himself, will become your gatekeepers. No matter what callus calamities of life fall upon you, your burden will not be heavier than you can bear.

God will not allow those who have cast their love upon Him to remain in peril, but He will rescue them. Not because they are perfect but because they simply have given him our love. Because of the love we have shown Christ, the grace of Christ will lift us above the dangers of the crooked roads we cross, and we will rise above satan’s temptations, as we are carried under the cover of his wings.

The promise that God has made to be with us, deliver us, honor us, satisfy us with long life and provide us with His salvation is a testament to Him being with us at all times.

Dear God, We thank you for the promise that you have given us.  We stand grateful for the covering that you provide and we will be eternally mindful to make you our place of dwelling.
In Jesus Name, Amen
