Natalie Mack's Story

I would like to share my story about how the Shiloh family was there for me through my time of grief with my mother passing away. I had a hard time coping with my loss but Pastor Joshua and some of the Deacons comforted me by talking to me using bible scriptures and everything else to help me. I will never forget what they did for me.

Cressyda Joshua's Story

Going to church as I child was not an option, it was a requirement. I was “hauled” into Shiloh as a little girl. Having Isiah Joshua, Jr., as a father, he always believed that he and his household would serve the Lord. At the age of 12, I came into the full knowledge and understanding of the importance of the Lord as my Savior. I was baptized by the late Pastor C.S. Trimble and Deacon T.V. Drake. Sadly, I am the last person that Deacon Drake baptized. He passed shortly after my baptism. No matter where I have lived over the years, whether it was New York, Pennsylvania or New Jersey, SMBC has always been at the core of my being. I had the opportunity to return to Texas and come home to SMBC. One of the first things that I did was to reunite with Shiloh! Dad being the Pastor notwithstanding, Shiloh is my church… my family…and my home. I can truly say that SMBC has served as the guiding light that has led me to the Kingdom of God. Today, I am almost 30 and still serving God. I thank God for all of those who have impacted my life and my spiritual growth. Thanks for “hauling” me to the church house Dad!

Pastor Isiah Joshua's Story

In 1979, a teacher, who taught across the hallway from me, asked me to visit Shiloh. She and her husband were going to visit SMBC for their first time. I attended that Sunday, however, the teacher who invited me did not attend because her husband was ill that weekend. They have never been to Shiloh. Yet, she led me to Shiloh and 30 years later I am the Senior Pastor. I have learned that what God has for me is for me.
