Have you ever felt dead?  Can you imagine no longer being faithful?  Are you choosing a path which will enhance your spiritual life?

I know what it’s like to be spiritually vibrant on the outside, but spiritually lifeless on the inside, but I couldn’t understand why; appearances can be deceiving.

Fourteen years ago, I began to stumble and fall. I have two grandsons; one is beginning to pull up and the other is a toddler.  Just like the boys, I became a toddler again, unsure of each step or movement.  My medical condition stunned medical professionals and is complicated; I became a lab animal. I was told that my life would drastically change and it has because I face hereditary compromises.  Can you imagine what it’s like to live with a gene that is not found in African American characteristics? My life had been interrupted and I felt sorry for myself.  There was no struggle and no fight; a dead body loses the battle.

When I finally realized that I was on assignment by God, I chose to live as an overcomer!  Every morning I get up early, with God’s help, I practice getting out of bed to take my toddler steps; I choose to stir-up the living spirit of God in me, so I will come to life. I wake-up encouraged to take action. I had to measure up to God’s standard.  The presence of intent and purpose in all our works should be done with a heart to be perfect before God.

Trusting in Jesus Christ for salvation means living it with gratitude; my fate is in HIS hands; my healing is in HIS hands. My interruption is now a daily part of my life, but it does not dominate my life.  As an overcomer, my daily walk, both physical and spiritual, is practiced with determination and blessed assurance. This is my story; I am an heir of salvation, purchased by God.

Dear God, thank you for sending your Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins.  Thank you that he’s posted a reward of white garments; those strands for God’s people who are spiritually imperfect and freed by the blood of Christ.  The Lamb’s Book of Life is the Lord’s salvation and it represents deliverance and eternal life.  I pray that your people will not allow sin to sweep you away.  Salvation is an act of service.  We are saved to serve you and to build up your church. In Jesus Name, Amen
