2 Corinthians 5:6-15

Submitted by Sis. Nita Tyson

In John 14:2, Jesus tells us He is preparing a place for us to be with Him.  While he is away, the indwelling Holy Spirit comforts and guides us.  Knowing this, we believers should be full of hope.  We are in this world, but not of this world.  Heaven is our home, and the soul of believers will dwell with the Lord forever.  Paul knew that every trial and tribulation he faced being an ambassador of Christ was in preparation for his eternal glory in the presence of Christ.

Yes, in these bodies, we are absent from the Lord and though we cannot see Him, we walk by faith until the time we will behold His face.  Because of His promise to us we can be confident of our final destination.

Until that time, be diligent about kingdom building.  Remember, the quality and motives of our service are what bring glory to God, and unlike man, He looks at the heart.

While you are working, be of good courage.  The best is yet to come for those who believe.

Dear Lord, thank you for your promise to never leave nor forsake us, and for sending the Holy Spirit for our assurance. In Jesus name amen
