“And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of the great multitude; for the battle is not yours; but God’s.”

Jehoshaphat recognizes that he cannot win the battle on his own, so his eyes are upon the Lord.   It is when we lose the consciousness of God in our lives that things get out of focus and we become anxious and terrified after finding ourselves surrounded by the enemy.

In this message Jehaziel reminds Israel that it’s God's battle. It is a simple battle plan.  They were to go into battle with praise and worship and see the salvation of the Lord.  To many this may seem like a foolish military plan, but God uses it to bring about a great victory.

Whether it is in the corporate world, political scene, schools systems or in Jericho; God can use the miraculous measures to achieve his purpose.  Now we know that each battle is different and you must follow the directions of the Holy Spirit.  For that is how you fight the spirit with the spirit.  It is a blessing to know that the only battles we have to fight is in the mind.  We must believe God’s word will do exactly what He says it will do.

Each morning, you rise knowing that there will be battles to fight and crosses to bear.  It is not what will I do?  It is, what is God going to do in each situation.  We fight the good fight of faith when we stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord.

This battle was different, but in the stated time Jehoshaphat was to use praise and worship because it confused the enemycausing them to destroy themselves.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the battles that you have seen us through in our fear and weakness.  Help us to be obedient when going through and allow you to do great things in our lives by having great faith.
