Dear Shiloh Family,
As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we are excited to invite you to join us for a special churchwide Bible study centered on the Gospel of Luke. This powerful book of the Bible contains 24 chapters, each filled with profound truths about the life, ministry, and mission of Jesus.
Our goal is simple: to journey through the Gospel of Luke together as a church family, reading one chapter each day starting on December 1st. By doing so, we will complete the book on Christmas Eve, waking up on Christmas morning understanding that Jesus is the Light of the World.
This study is an opportunity to pause in the midst of the holiday hustle and immerse ourselves in the true meaning of the season. As we reflect on the angelic announcements, Mary’s song of praise, the shepherds’ awe, and the presentation of Jesus at the temple, we pray that God will rekindle our joy and wonder at the gift of salvation through His Son.
Here’s how you can participate:
- Commit to the Study: Set aside time each day to read one chapter of Luke and reflect on its message.
- Read the Chapter: Check your email or click below to find reflection and application daily for the chapter of the day
- Pray Together: Use this study as an opportunity to deepen your prayer life, asking God to open our hearts and minds to His Word.
Let us unite as a body of believers, growing together in faith and drawing closer to the One who is the reason for the season.
Together, let’s approach Christmas morning with renewed hearts and minds, knowing the story of Jesus not just as a historical account but as a life-changing reality.
Blessings,
SMBC

Merry Christmas, Shiloh Family!
Today, as we wake up to the joy and celebration of Christmas morning, we are reminded of the incredible story that has brought us here—the story of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Over the past 24 days, we’ve journeyed together through the Gospel of Luke, immersing ourselves in the life and mission of Jesus. Now, on this sacred day, we come to the heart of it all: His miraculous birth.
As Luke tells us in chapter 2, the angel declared to the shepherds:
"Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord." (Luke 2:10-11)
This message of hope, peace, and salvation is as powerful today as it was that first Christmas night. Through Mary’s obedience, Joseph’s faith, the angels’ song, and the shepherds’ awe, we see the unfolding of God’s perfect plan to redeem humanity.
But this story is not just a historical account—it is deeply personal. Jesus was born for you. He came to bring light into your darkness, joy into your sorrow, and salvation into your soul.
This morning, as we celebrate with family, gifts, and traditions, let us remember the greatest gift ever given: God’s love, wrapped in flesh, lying in a manger.
Let’s reflect on these truths today:
- Jesus’ birth reminds us that God keeps His promises.
- His humble beginning shows us the power of God’s grace for all people.
- His coming invites us to worship, just as the shepherds and wise men did.
A Prayer for Christmas Morning
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. On this Christmas morning, we celebrate His birth with hearts full of gratitude and awe. Help us to live out the joy and hope of His coming, sharing the good news with everyone we meet. May the story of Jesus’ birth continue to transform our hearts and lives, drawing us closer to You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Merry Christmas! May today be filled with the peace, joy, and love of Christ.
With love in Christ,
SMBC
