Youth Musician Position at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church

Are you passionate about music and eager to inspire the next generation? Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church is looking for a dynamic Youth Musician to join our vibrant community. This exciting opportunity allows you to blend your musical talents with your faith, leading and nurturing our youth through the power of music.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and Inspire: Lead youth in worship services four Sundays a month, creating an uplifting and inclusive atmosphere at the 11:00am Youth Worship service.
- Cultivate Talent: Conduct weekly rehearsals, dedicating 1 to 1.5 hours to help our Youth Choir/Praise Team (grades 7-12) develop their musical abilities.
- Annual Event Leadership: Play a pivotal role in our week-long Vacation Bible School every June, fostering a fun and enriching musical experience.
- Versatile Musical Instruction: Teach and play a variety of musical styles, from traditional and contemporary gospel to CCM and Praise and Worship.
Qualifications:
- A genuine and deep-rooted relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Ability to learn and teach music by ear; music reading skills are a plus.
- Proficiency in teaching and performing various musical genres.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a heart for youth ministry.
- Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with staff and congregation.
- Commitment to the church's vision and mission.
- Dependable, creative, self-motivated, and responsible.
