Olive Branch 4 Widows (OB4W) – SMBC Widow's Ministry
Rooted in James 1:27, Olive Branch 4 Widows is the dedicated Widow's Ministry of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, offering compassionate care and practical support to widows and widowers in our church and community.
Founded and led by Fred and Mary Moses, OB4W provides a helping hand with everyday tasks—such as meal preparation, changing light bulbs, light touch-up painting, and friendly visits—as well as emotional encouragement and prayer. For larger needs, like car repairs or home maintenance, the ministry connects individuals with trusted service providers.
Through OB4W, SMBC seeks to embody the love of Christ by ensuring no widow walks alone. Our mission is to stand alongside those navigating loss, offering both tangible assistance and the warmth of fellowship, so they can continue to live with dignity, hope, and community support.

Join us for The Healing Journey, an empowering workshop facilitated by Katherine B. Barner, M.Ed., MABS, LPC-S—award-winning author, licensed professional counselor, and grief & trauma specialist with over 30 years of experience. Katherine will guide participants through emotional, spiritual, and practical steps to heal after loss, offering compassionate insight and faith-based strategies.
